Beach Clean

Come and help make a difference to this Lewis shore.
Meet at the parking area at the middle of the Braighe, east of Stornoway, there are public toilets available.
This beach clean is being held in association with Clean Coast Outer Hebrides, a local charity SC049307 that does much more than beach cleans; they campaign, educate, inform and inspire about marine environment issues including climate change. Basecamp will be a display trailer with equipment and information, participants will need to sign in and listen to a briefing to be covered by the insurance.
High tide is at 7:57am so will be falling at the start time of 10:00am.
Bags and gloves will be provided, but make sure you have stout footwear as the beach is shingle. Access is easy, over a low wall and down steps. Bring the gathered marine litter back to the trailer where it will be weighed and sorted, and everything recyclable will be 
separated appropriately. 
This event is weather dependent, in wild, wet and windy conditions it may not be safe to proceed so the event may be rescheduled. This event is free to attend.
