One of the finest Scottish acts to emerge in recent times, Rura, simply haven’t looked back since bursting on to the folk scene in 2010. Announced as winners of a prestigious Danny Kyle Award at Glasgow’s Celtic Connections festival 2011 and as ‘Up and Coming Artist of the Year’ at MG Alba Scots Trad Music Awards, the powerhouse five-piece line-up of Rura has already performed across the UK, Europe and most recently in the U.S.A.

Rural Nations are collaborating with the Bridge Centre / YM Youth groups to develop a new film workshop called DigiHeb that aims to facilitate groups of young people in the Western Isles between the ages of 14 and 18 to make their own films and increase their understanding of all aspects of filmmaking.

Lostbost Episode 1 - 28min Pilot TV Comedy Programme Aug/Sept 2008 for MG Alba first broadcast in October 2008.

Sìol a short Gaelic thriller, 2008 - winner of Film G People's Choice Award.

Lewis Coastal Film Festival (Pilot project) March 2010.

Video Heb 2009/2010 Young people's film making workshops - 3 films were made by this group. Films were screened at An Lanntair in 2011.
