HIFF 2015 announces Industry Event

HIFF 2015 announces this year's main Industry Event will be with award winning Runar Jarle Wiik, Director & Cinematographer from Norway.

 Runar's presentation will focus on the Making of No Word for Worry (2014/Norway/Thailand/Doc) where 5 different cultures worked together on a tiny boat for 5 months ("Kindred Spirits").  Runar will also give an overview of the film Industry in Norway and how film makers work is supported there. Runar’s focus lies predominantly on documentaries that address the plight of indigenous peoples. No Word for Worry has won Best Film - Audience Award, Eurodok 2014, Best Cinematography, Nordic Docs 2014, Best Feature Documentary, Grimstad 2014

The event takes place Thursday 15th October at 2pm at the MG ALBA Offices, Seaforth Rd, Stornoway before the screening of No Word for Worry at An Lanntair at 5.30pm. He will also be speaking Saturday, 17th October at 4pm at St Peters Hall, Daliburgh, South Uist.

Industry professionals are invited, but the event is open and free to the public and prior booking is required as places are limited.
